Newdelhi :Indian tennis player Sania Mirza nominated for Fed Up Heart Award . Needless to say, Sania is the first Indian to be nominated for this prestigious award. Recently, Sania returned to the Fed Cup Tennis Tournament after a gap of four years. Sania played a key role in making India a place in the Fed Cup Playoffs for the first time.
In a statement issued by the All India Tennis Association, Sania said, “It was the proudest moment of my life to go to the tennis court in 2003 wearing Indian clothes. I have been traveling tennis for 18 years. Today, I am proud to be involved in Indian tennis. The success of last month’s Fed Cup tournament was one of the biggest achievements of my career. “The players are playing for a special moment,” she said.
According to reports, the winner of the Heart Award will be selected through online voting. Which will run from May 1 to May 8. This is the 11th edition of the Fed Cup Heart Award.
