New Delhi : India government plan to repatriate Indians trapped abroad After the lockdown . Ministry of External Affairs, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Air India, the state government and the Indian Mission Abroad have launched a plan to relocate Indians trapped abroad. According to government sources, the Indians could be repatriated only after the nationwide lockdown in the country to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Sources said that special flights or regular flights could be relocated once they started and the relocation process would start accordingly after looking at the lockdown situation in different states. The relocation process will be based on payment, Indian citizens will have to pay for a plane ticket to return home. Thousands of Indians have been stranded in the Gulf, especially since March 28, when Gulf states have been pressured to repatriate Indian citizens and not to exploit their hospitality.
