Bhawanipatana : Two Hundred bedded COVID-19 Hospital operational in Kalahandi today at the Government Technical College at Bandapala near Bhawanipatna town . This Hospital only deal with covid-19 in Kalahandi district. It is run by the district administration on behalf of the state government, while the Odisha Mining Corporation has provided financial assistance for the Covid hospital.
The 200-bed Covid Hospital has four ICU beds with ventilators. There are 70 locker rooms for Kovid suspects. Free medical care will be provided there. Covid Hospital has accommodation and meals for doctors and health workers. The hospital now has 17 doctors. Five of them are trained in ICU management and 51 are staff nurses. Ten of them are staff nurse ICU management training. There are 9 pharmacists. One of them is a pharmacist trained in ICU. There are 8 lab technicians, a micro-biologist, and a health worker, a security guard, and a sweeper to help him.
Various positions will be filled as needed in the future. Kalahandi South Forest DFO T. Ashok Kumar as the officer of Kovidi Hospital and ADIHO Dr Niharendra Panda as the Acting Medical Officer have been given all the administrative responsibilities of Kovid Hospital, the district administration said in a press release today.
