Therefore, a case was filed in the High Court from March to June 4 to waive the tuition fee. Following the hearing, High Court Judge Justice B.R. Sadangi and Justice S.K.K. The bench comprising the Panigrahi issued a notice to the state government to file a reply. Sambalpur lawyer Mohammad Mustaq Anjsari filed the case, while the state’s chief secretary, schools and public education secretary were instructed to file a reply.
“All schools were closed last month for corona,” the petitioner said in a petition. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. But school authorities are still demanding tuition fees, even if the school is closed. The risk of other fee increases at this time cannot be ruled out either. On the one hand, there is no income for the people, and on the other hand, the burden of school fees has raised concerns. Both the central government and the state government have urged private schools to reduce fees. However, no private school has taken steps to waive or reduce fees.
The petitioner therefore requests the State Government to take the necessary steps in this regard in the interest of the common good. The petitioner has asked the state government to take necessary steps to ensure that private schools do not collect tuition fees from March to June and do not raise any fees in such a timely manner. Due to the waiver of school fees, the payment of salaries to their teachers, teachers and staff by private schools can be a problem for school authorities. The petitioner also asked the state government to direct the High Court to extend a hand of financial assistance to the schools in such cases.
