New Delhi: More than 30 vaccines against coronavirus are in various stages of development. Experts told Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a task force meeting that a small number of vaccines would go to the medical examinations in India.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Task Force on Coronavirus Vaccine Development. He reviewed India’s recent efforts in vaccine development, drug discovery, diagnosis and testing.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Indian companies have become new innovators in the initial phase of vaccine development research. There are three areas for drug development in the country. The first was to apply all drugs for other diseases in the case of coronaviruses. It is being tested in the hope that at least four drugs can work. The second is testing new candidate drugs and molecules. Third, plant extracts that are resistant to the virus are being tested.
Scientists tell Prime Minister Modi that there are more than 30 cochlear-19 vaccines at various stages of development
