Modi’s preparations for the big move come after a decision to increase the lockdown

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now gearing up for a huge fight against the corona virus. While a full lockdown has been put in place to protect the countrymen from the plague, a number of steps will be taken to prevent further. In the wake of the campaign, the Prime Minister today held talks with leaders of all political parties, the former Prime Minister and former presidents. Today, Modi first phoned former President Pranab Mukherjee for his ongoing efforts against the coronavirus. He also held talks with Pratibha Patil, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda. The Prime Minister also spoke to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who is critical of the central government over the Lockheed issue. He was followed by Prime Minister Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, TM4C supremo Mamata Banerjee, BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik, DM4K supremo M7K Stalin and Telangana Chief Minister K.S. Chandrashekhar spoke to Rao on the phone. The Prime Minister also discussed the Karona clash with Akali Dal senior leader Prakash Singh Badal.
