Immigrants will return to home state , Center issued guideline
New Delhi: Immigrants will return to home state . The Indian government has allowed migrant workers, students and tourists stranded in various parts of the country to return home. The government gave the permission 36 days after the lockdown was announced in the country. The government made the decision after workers appeared to be returning home after a difficult situation during the lockdown.
A circular issued by the Union Home Ministry said that state governments need to appoint a top officer or nodal officer to ensure the safe return of these people. Only the top officials will oversee the work. People will be allowed to return after a health check. “If they are infected with corona, they will not be allowed to return,” the circular said.
