Five  new corona positive cases identified  in Odisha,

Bhubaneswar  : The number of ‘corona’ infections in the state has risen to 60. One of the newly identified victims was from Jajpur district and the other four were from Bhubaneswar.

State Health Director Bijay Kumar Mohapatra told reporters here today that five more new coronavirus cases have been identified in the state. One was reported to be from an infected Jajpur district, while the other four were from Bhubaneswar. One of the four is from Jharpada area and the other three are from Bamikhal area. A 50-year-old man from Jharpada area has been infected due to contact with positive patient number 42 (first coron death). Similarly, the houses of 3 others are in Bamikhal area. One of them was a 51-year-old woman, while the other two were a 40-year-old man and a 51-year-old man. A total of 58 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. Mr. Mohapatra informed that another 400-400 samples will be tested today.

District Magistrate Ranjan Das informed about the positive patient number 54 identified in Jajpur. He said the patient involved in a fishing vehicle from Kolkata arrived on March 28. So he can’t say the number of the car he came in. Following the identification of the positive patients, the district administration has declared two villages, Jajpur’s Santrilochanpur and Sahipur-3, as areas of content.
