Bhubaneswar : Analyze the changing covid situation in your district and redesign your strategy to manage the evolving crisis directed Chief Secretary Sri Asit Tripathy to Collectors and Chief District Medical Officers (CDMOs) over a video conference from Lokseba Bhawan conference hall today evening.
Taking a district wise review of the extent of the surveillance, quantum of testing, availability of covid care centers, covid health facilities, medicines, test kits etc, Chief Secretary Sri Tripathy directed to the Collectors and CDMOs to make advance arrangements in all these matters keeping in view the prospective scenario till end of August. Additional Chief Secretary Health & Family Welfare Sri Pradeepta Kumar Mohapatra said, “We have sufficient stock of testing kits and medicines. Around 1,16,000 anti-gen test kits have already been supplied to the districts. Each district will be supplied as per their demand”.
The Collectors were asked to enhance per day sample collection at least to 500. The hot spot districts were asked to scale up the sample collection up to 1000 per day for early detection and treatment. They were asked to utilize the antigen test kits and upload the test results in ICMR portal on daily basis.
The treating doctors were advised to take up plasma therapy as per the standard protocol. The Collectors were advised to encourage and support plasma collection in all possible ways. Collectors were directed to make fix the place of their stay and make all logistic arrangements for smooth collection of the plasma. It was also decided to provide travel assistance to the donors wherever required. Additional Chief Secretary Sri Mohapatra appraised that the plasma banks would be made functional in five places viz. capital hospital, Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical Cuttack, IGH Rourkela, VIMSAR Burla and MKCG Bramhapur. The logistics and vehicles being used for blood bank would be utilized for plasma banks also.
