Gajapati Maharaj said the steering committee had appealed to both the central and state governments to ensure that the decision, which comes on May 3, has no effect on religion. On the other hand, the government will consider whether it is possible to ride a car without violating any of the provisions of Covid-16 without endangering the health and lives of the people. After May 3, new guidelines will be adopted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central and State Governments.
Gajapati, on the other hand, made it clear that according to the guidelines of the Center and the state, no religious institution can be held in any public place till May 3. This will be fully complied with by the management committee of the shrine. Therefore, the construction of chariots and the activities outside the shrine cannot be done.
