New Delhi: lockdown period extended until May 17 . Central government has extended the lockdown period for another two weeks. As a result, the lockdown will continue until May 17 across the country. The central government is issuing new guidelines for this. According to the guidelines, some alcohol has been announced for the Green Zone and Orange Zones this time around, which have been reported to be infected with kerosene. So more cuts will continue for the Red Zone. The Union Home Ministry has issued a statement regarding the increase in the lockdown. The government has taken this decision in view of the increase in the number of infected people in the country as the lockdown period ends on the 3rd of next month.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Home Minister Amit Shah, Railway Minister Piyush Goel and Airports Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
A high-level meeting chaired by Modi on Thursday also discussed improving the country’s economic situation. The meeting was also attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This high-level meeting contains information on the decision to extend the lockdown period.
