IPL suspended again as Lockdown has been extended
New Delhi : Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has been postponed again today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the lockdown deadline to May 3 to prevent coronavirus infections.
There is no word yet on the future of the IPL 2020. Going after May 3, the ‘Board of Control for Cricket in India’ will review the situation. That means anything will be considered after the Indian government publishes new guidelines on the Covid-16 crisis, according to board sources.
The IPL 2020, to be played on March 28, was initially canceled until April 15. The match was adjourned as the Indian government declared a 21-day lockdown.
